The new WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is Friendship.
There are all kinds of friendships. Some pop up at school or work, and last until our lives diverge. But the best friendships are the ones that stand the tests of time.
Like cousins….
Parents and children…
Grandparents and great-grandparents…
Siblings…
And pets….
We have friends we’ve known for over 30 years. We’ve known each other through good times & bad, illnesses, job changes, and moves. We watched our kids grow up and get married, and now we’re watching our grandkids!
But my best friend is my beloved hubby!
What are your favorite friendships???
This is such a lovely post – when you can be such good friends with you relatives, it is, indeed, a wonderful thing. I am good friends with my mum, brother, my two SILs, my nieces, many of my cousins, and my husband is also my BF 😀 We are blessed 😀

Great photos. I just couldn’t bring myself to post pictures of the people in my life, but I have two friends (who I just saw yesterday) that I have had for over 45 years. We know each other’s parents and siblings…nothing can beat that (other than your best-friend spouse of course). 🙂

It is sad how many couples undoubtedly love one another – but aren’t really friends. They work and play in separate spheres. If one’s very best friend is one’s spouse, then things are perfect!

We have a lot of common interests, but also some separate ones – makes for interesting conversations! I agree that friendship is a great asset in a marriage! Thanks for your comments!

Beautiful post. We have a few friends that we have been very, very close to for decades. Sadly we lost two of them in the last few years.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. It’s always so difficult. For years after my mother-in-law passed away, something would happen and I’d reach for the phone to call her – only to realize she wasn’t there. It was hard to realize I wouldn’t be sharing things with her, but each time gave me a wonderful reminder of her to hold onto. I wish you well.
