Windows serve so many purposes.
They can let in light, while doubling as decorative elements….
Sometimes they inspire us….
and sometimes they’re a portal from the every day to our dreams and imagination…
What’s outside your window today?

Where was the first photograph taken? Great shots. Did the cat ‘pose’ or did you just catch him/her staring out the window? What a view from your home office(?)!

Lots of question! Here are some answers: The top left pic in the post is the Guggenheim in NYC – the one next to it is Covent Garden in London. The cat is my daughter’s, and the pic was taken at their house – I just caught her at one of her favorite perches. The office is the one I retired from – my home office has less impressive windows! 😉

Lovely! I especially like the chapel window 🙂

It’s a tiny chapel (St. Margaret’s/Edinburgh Catle) but it also manages to have four other stained glass widows… including one for St. Margaret and one for William Wallace. This one honors St. Andrew, Scotland’s patron saint, I believe.

I love the variety–the things humans do to leave their imprint! My window shows the lake I wrote about the other day, with the ice slowly melting.

Great window photos. I love the geometric designs, including the way the different level of floors form the same as the window. Thank you for stopping by.

Thanks! Walking inside the Guggenheim gallery is sort of like being inside a nautilus shell – it’s one continuous spiral!

Beautiful collection of thoughts and photos, I especially love the one inside the little stone chapel….and of course the cat 🙂
Right now night has fallen outside my window and the moon and stars are shining intermittently between the rolling clouds!

You know I was almost going to ask if that was where it was…..then I shrugged and thought it could be lots of places!
My brother was married there back in October, and so I really should have known 🙂

Oooh! I love watching large water birds like heron and egrets! Unfortunately I have to wait for Spring to get back out on the water to see them! 🙂
